Privacy Policy

Vedro Player is a TV app that plays playlists you add yourself. We collect as little as possible: only what is needed to send your playlists to your TV and to keep the service safe.
Who we are
Vedro Player (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@vedroplayer.com.
What we store on our server
- Your TV’s identifier: the MAC address of the TV, or, where the TV does not give the app its MAC address, a fixed ID the app creates from the device.
- Device key and access token: the 6-digit key shown on your TV, and a secret token that lets the app fetch its playlists. We keep the token only in scrambled form (a hash).
- The playlists you add: name, M3U address, TV guide (EPG) address, or Xtream Codes server, username and password. We need these to send the playlist to your TV. The website never shows the password again after you save it.
- Dates: when the app was registered, last used, and last changed.
- Security counters: how many wrong device keys or new registrations came from one MAC address or one IP address. These counters delete themselves after 1 hour (per IP address) or 24 hours (registrations per MAC address).
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number (unless you write to us).
- No payment details.
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking cookies.
- We do not see what you watch. Video goes directly from your provider to your TV, not through our server.
What stays on your devices
- On your TV: the app saves your playlists, channel lists, favourites, where you stopped watching and your settings, so it opens quickly. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
- In your browser: after you log in on this website, your MAC address and device key stay in the browser tab until you close it. Your language choice is remembered on that device. Nothing is shared with other websites.
Why we use this data
- To provide the service you ask for: showing your playlists on your TV (performance of a contract).
- To protect the service and you against misuse, for example someone guessing device keys (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who helps us
Our website and server run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which stores the data above on its global network and forwards email sent to support@vedroplayer.com to our mailbox. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf and may process it outside your country, under its standard data protection terms.
How long we keep it
- A playlist you remove on this website is deleted from our server right away.
- If a TV does not use the app for 12 months, everything stored for it is deleted automatically.
- Security counters delete themselves after 1 to 24 hours.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can object to how we use it. The quickest way to delete it is to remove your playlists on this website. To delete everything for a TV, email us the MAC address and the device key shown on the TV, so we know the request comes from that TV’s owner. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Vedro Player is not made for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is important, we will also say so on this website.
